Creating a credit note under the regime forfettario

Creating a credit note under the regime forfettario is very simple with Partitaiva24 Cloud.

You will need to issue a credit note in the event of an invoice being issued incorrectly. The function of the credit note is to cancel/rectify an invoice. The issuance of this document should not be taken lightly, so we recommend that you always assess the situation with your consultant.

Now let's get down to practicalities, to create the credit note document, you will need to click on the 'sales invoices' item from the left-hand menu.

Then click on “altro” and select “TD04: credit note” to start the compilation.

The first information to be entered is customer information.

Write the customer's initials in the recipient section and select the customer, the data will be loaded automatically. Make sure that 'credit note' is stated at the top of the document.

Having entered the customer, proceed to the next section. Document number and date.

The software automatically sets the date and number of the document, but you can change both. We advise you to use a specific sectional when issuing credit notes, for example sectional X/NC. If it is the first credit note, number the document 1/NC. Remember that you may backdate the document a maximum of 12 days from the time of issue in order not to incur penalties.

Let us move on now to the body of the credit note. You will have to enter in the appropriate section the description of the service or product sold, the unit of measurement, quantity and amount. In this section, you will have to fill in the same information as in the invoice to be cancelled.

If the invoice to be cancelled had several lines do the same.

The body of the credit note must have the same information as the invoice.

NB. Only if you are a professional and are registered with a professional association, remember to also click on the button bearing the name of your association to enter the supplementary contribution.

Moving on, if the credit note has an amount greater than €77.47 and is subject to a virtual stamp, the software will apply it automatically. You will not have to do any operations.

Stamps will be paid periodically through the channels provided by the revenue agency. Click the next link to find out more: how to pay virtual revenue stamps.

At this point, the credit note is almost complete. You only need to add the payment methods.

Click on '+payment' and choose the same method of payment as you entered on the previous invoice.

The credit note is now complete, you must first save it by clicking on the appropriate button and then, if you wish to send it to the SDI immediately, simply click on the issue button to send it.

In the left-hand menu you will find the entire list of issued or simply saved documents. To edit and/or send drafts, simply click on the pencil at the chosen draft.

To check all the data you can also preview the credit note by clicking on the PDF. The same PDF, you will be able to hand over to your customer as a courtesy copy while waiting to receive the xml file from the Inland Revenue.

If all data are correct and you want to proceed to send the credit note, you can click on issue and then confirm sending to the SDI. At the top you will find the status of the document as transmitted and after a few hours, if the credit note is accepted by the SDI the status will change to accepted. For credit notes, you will also have a receipt of successful delivery to the SDI by clicking on the selected document.

NB. Do not forget also to mark the credit note as collected if you have also marked the cancelled invoice as collected. The documents must have the same status! Both collected or both NOT collected.

This way you will feed your dashboard and keep your business under control.

Finally, our consultants will also check the substantive correctness of the document and verify it, further changing its status to “verificata”
